After Zion, arrived in Las Vegas. Eiffel Tower, The Pyramids, The Arch of Triumph, Roman temples… Must be the capital of kitsch.
Then went straight for Death Valley. Just missed the sunset at Dante’s View.
Camped at 40 degrees C. Furnace Creek is a proper name. In the morning, it got to a low of 30 degrees C. Despite the extreme temperatures, I do recommend it. Just watch out with the wind, so you don’t go running around through the desert, at night, in search of your tent, like I did.
The next morning, visited some attractions nearby: lowest point in North America, salt pans and sand dunes.
