… rafting and what an awesome day it was!
Unlike most awesome days, this one started at about 5 am. At least you could admire the moonset, sunrise, empty road (most of the cars [about 25 out of 30] in Tecuci were parked, so the only 4-lane street was clear*).
Ate breakfast in the car (smart plan to get more sleep): cozonac + energy drink. Tip: if you plan on going rafting, eat properly!
160 km later, we were in the uninteresting village of Chirlesti, Buzau, meeting with our instructors (who organize about 200 types of outdoor activities). Suit up:
And finally we went rafting. The 11 km section we rafted on took us 3 hours (now you know why you need to eat properly). In spite of the 31 degrees outside and the neoprene suits + life vests + helmets, the cold mountain water splashing us and slowly dripping on the inside of the suit kept us at a decent temperature.
But enough words, check out this HD action video (I’m the one on the front right side) with the section called “The Washing Machine”:

Bonus: how Romanians understand recycling – they don’t:
* dooh, I’m making fun, we have 2 4-lane streets!
