So I’ve been in the phototour. I’ve managed to adapt to the tent life (and even enjoyed it). But what about the photo part?
And this is where Mihai Moiceanu comes in. He literally put us in the right place at the right time for the right photo. Example: he took us on an awesome (but very exhausting) hike deep in the Fagaras Mountains. We started at 9:30 am. Around 1:30 – 2 pm, we were at Caltun Shelter, to shoot its reflection in the lake (and also catch the stories the shelter had to tell):
We then went on, walking on the mountain crest (up to 2390m) to get to a nice spot to shoot the sunset. When I heard that, I thought of shooting the sun set behind the mountains. So naive of me. Mihai had better plans:
He also took us to Stan’s Valley( which is more like a canyon, with steep walls, waterfalls, steel ladders, ropes and chains), or to a waterfall near the Transfagarasan road:
Overall, I really enjoyed seeing Mihai compose his photos or being amazed by the places I’ve seen and shot on camera.
