Finished the race, drank some water, lay a little around, washed and changed clothes. After changing, I got out of the tent and I looked around – the whole place was deserted! Everybody left – or at least everybody I knew. On top of that, it also rained for half an hour. I was tired, so it wasn’t hard to go to bed early.
Next morning, I woke up at 5:30. Ate some biscuits, shot some photos, packed my bags and my tent and left Padina. It was really cold outside and I didn’t have any cold weather biking clothes. Still, I managed to keep my temperature up by pedaling fast. After the sun rose, the cold stopped being an issue. Instead, my camera got affected by some severe condensing and I missed capturing a great view of the Bolboci lake at sunrise.
After a short (300m) climb followed a long (800m) descend with great views and a now working camera.
At 10 am, I was in Sinaia, enjoying some 30-something degrees (later on it got to 38 in Bucharest), 20-something more than what I started with that morning.
