I brought my sun screen. I also brought my fleece, which actually proved useful. I was in the 30k event, with 1200m climb. Even though the hills didn’t go higher than 300m, we were still mostly inside the blanket of fog, feeling like on the Bucegi Plateau on a cloudy day. Welcome to Henry Coe State Park, largest park in the Bay Area and pretty much the only place around where you can camp without having a reservation. Mostly because it’s so large, but also because it’s hot, dry and dusty. Henry Coe is also a popular destination for mountain biking. One of the IMBA epics can be found here.
