It’s incredible how some places have such a strong vibe. When you get to Santa Cruz, you’re struck by this. Surf boards, bikes, even surf boards on bikes. No wonder companies like O’Neill and Santa Cruz Bikes started here. The cold ocean water teaming with people. Some more on the streets, walking (or biking) around in wet suits.

So what else can you do there besides biking and surfing? Well, check the shoreline, with its natural arches, beaches, wildlife, harbors and pretty little restaurants.

Near the beach, you can find the Boardwalk. It’s exactly how you’d imagine an amusement park. Crowds, rides, fatty foods and sugary drinks.

And to end the day – some locally brewed beer.
