US Road Trip Days 1&2 – Boxwork and Scenic Roads

Day 1 Morning finds me groggy from too little sleep following the midnight flight. Still, I don’t have time to relax – I have to run some errands. Get an Uber to the car rental office, get the car, go to the bike shop, try to buy the bike I talked to them about… but it’s out of stock… discontinued actually in preparation for launching the 2019 model. Niagara Falls

At first I didn’t consider this attraction for our road trip because it added about 10 hours of driving. Everybody knows I don’t like driving. Looking in retrospect, that would have been a wrong call, because the falls were pretty spectacular. We went on the cruise to the base of the falls. Banat – Papaya Farewell Epic

We rode 3416 km, most of them on some mountains somewhere awesome. We’ve went through many adventures: – biking in hot dusty isolated Henry Coe State Park – night biking in Santa Cruz – crossing Vrancea’s mountains in search of large carnivores Continue…

Wadi Rum

Left Wadi Musa early in the morning. Took a mini bus to Wadi Rum Village, the entry point to the Wadi Rum Protected Area, another one of Jordan’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Wadi Rum is basically a desert. A rocky one, with cliffs jutting out of the valley floor, but nonetheless a desolate place. Besides tourism, Wadi Rum can hardly support any human activity. This area is pretty popular, not Continue…
